A key reason to maintain your septic system is to save money and to protect your investment. Failing septic systems are expensive to repair or replace and poor maintenance is often the culprit. The best way to prolong the lifespan of your system is through regular maintenance. We recommend that you have your septic tank pumped every 3-5 years. This is a bargain when you consider the cost of replacing a system. An unusable septic system can lower your property's value and possibly pose a legal liability. Other good reasons for safe treatment of sewage include preventing the spread of infection, disease and protecting our water resources.
As long as your septic tank has proper access, it should take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to pump your septic from start to finish. If your tank does not have proper access, we can dig it out and install a riser so that it can be easily accessible. Having a riser prevents you from having to dig up your septic tank every time you need to have it pumped. This is especially helpful during winter seasons when snow can make it much harder to tell where your tank is located.
